ANOIS

Anois (pronounced "uh-nish") is a fantastic two-year old stallion prospect who was imported in utero from Ireland.  Anois, whose name means "Now!" in Gaelic, was born to Parnell's Nuala in May 2006.  After we had stayed up all night in the foaling stall watching Nuala, with no baby to show for it, we decided to turn her out while we cleaned the foaling stall.  Nuala immediately laid down in the adjacent paddock and delivered Anois! His sire is the incomparable palomino Clononeen Mull of Kintyre.  The Mull (a.k.a., "Romeo"), was recently purchased by Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses, for an undisclosed six-figure sum, making him one of the most valuable stallions ever imported into the USA.  Anois has a smokey black and white pinto coat pattern, which is consistent with DNA color testing.  Anois is heterozygous for the tobiano pattern (nT) and the red factor (Ee), and he also carries a copy of the cream dilution gene (nCr).  Why spend a minimum of $30,000 for the broodmare and stud fee, and then wait a year to see if you actually get his equivalent, when you can buy him Now! for only $22,000?
