Poitin (pronounced “po-teen” or “po-sheen”) is a handsome piebald Gypsy Cob stallion imported from Clononeen Farm in Ireland.  He has sired many fine offspring in Ireland, and is currently standing at Beltane Vale Gypsy Horses in Ramona, CA.  Poitin is 15.2 HH and has the traditional Gypsy Cob conformation, complemented by lots of hair and feather, and a very gentle eye.  In 2008, our homozygous broodmare  Parnell’s Roisin delivered our first Poitin foal – a big, mostly white piebald colt with blue eyes that we named Parnell’s Teadoir.
