ROISIN

Roisin (pronounced "roe-sheen") is an eight year old imported Irish Cob mare. Roisin, whose Gaelic name can be interpreted as "Ireland's Rose" or "little rose", stands 14.2 hands high. She is homozygous for both tobiano markers, so she will always have colored foals.  Her striking "eye-liner" and amazing sweet temperament seem to catch everyone's eye, and make her our most talked-about broodmare. She is an absolute joy to work with, and is broke to drive. She is currently training to ride, and seems to be taking it all in stride. On March 4, 2008, Roisin gave birth to a large, mostly white colt named Teadoir, sired by Clononeen Poitin of Beltane Vale Gypsy Horses.  Ted is a BIG boy and has lots of potential for pulling our restored vardo!
