Broodmares
ROISIN
Roisin (pronounced "roe-sheen") is a ten year old imported Irish Cob
mare. Roisin, whose Gaelic name can be interpreted as either
"Ireland's Rose" or "little rose", stands 14.2 hands high. She is
homozygous for both black and the tobiano markers, so she will always
have colored foals. Her striking "eye-liner" and amazing sweet
temperament seem to catch everyone's eye, and make her our most
talked-about broodmare. She is an absolute joy to work with, and has
been trained to both ride and drive, having recently completed 90 days
of driving training with Kevin and Sheila at Driving Horse
Connection. Roisin is the dam of Parnell’s Lisdoonvarna (2005) and
in March 2008, she gave birth to a large, mostly white colt named
Parnell’s Teadoir. Sired by Clononeen Poitin of Beltane Vale Gypsy
Horses, “Ted” is a BIG boy with lots of potential for pulling our
restored
Gypsy Vardos.
